Corona Virus & Prevention
Today we spent the first 15 minutes watching a video on brainpop.com that helps answer some questions students might have about the corona virus. We are focusing on the transmission and prevention techniques influencing the spread of the virus. Below are the instructions for logging in to the brainpop and the discussion questions we will cover.

Fact vs. Fiction
After our unit on Plate tectonics students are asked to use their knowledge to determine factual events vs. fictional events in a made for TV movie. Dante's Peak is a PG-13 movie that depicts the events leading up to an eruption of a volcano and the aftermath. Students will use the content we covered as well as any prior knowledge they have to answer questions. The questions and the information are posted below.

Students cut and pasted a foldable into their notebooks to help organize their volcano notes. A picture of the foldable is shown below. The notes are also posted. Students will use the notes to fill in the foldable. The first slide of notes regarding magma types should be written on the back or to the side of the foldable.
