Friday January 26

Today we took notes on the crystal shapes of minerals and discussed that the reason for the different geometric shapes was due to the different ways atoms bond together.  We then took time to use a net to make a 3D crystal shape.  The notes are posted below.

Thursday January 25

Today students practiced identifying minerals.  They used a mineral identification key and their knowledge of mineral properties to help identify at minimum 4 minerals.
