Friday September 21

Follow the directions below.  There are three steps to complete in class today.

Step 1.  Make sure your animal cell is complete.  You should have all the cell parts pasted on the cell outline.  They should be labeled and you should have the function of each cell part on the right side of the spread.  Below is an example of the finished product.  Please scroll down to yesterday's blog for definitions of cell parts.

Step 2: Complete your plant cell diagram.  Turn to a new page in your notebook.  Cut out the cell outline and all the cell parts.  Next, paste the cell parts on the outline and label them.  There is a picture below.  On the right side of the page please write the function of the new plant cell parts.  You will only need to write the function of the Cell wall, Central Vacuole, and the Chloroplast.

Step 3:  Use the following Quizlet links to review the scientists who led us to the Cell Theory and to review the cell parts.

Thursday September 20

Today we are continuing to "build" an animal cell.  Students glue cell parts onto the proper cell shape, label the parts and write the function of each part.  Please use the slides below.  A complete picture of the cell is shown on the last slide.
