Monday March 18

Today we reviewed our volcano notes and began an activity where students located active volcanoes around the world.  The idea is to show the relationship between volcanoes and the edges of tectonic plate boundaries.  Students plotted the volcanoes on their plate tectonics maps.

Thursday March 14

Today we continued working through our information on volcanoes.  Students read information and, using that information, filled in a foldable.  Next we went over the information using my notes so students could make sure they had complete information.  Please look at the notes below.

Wednesday March 13

Today we began our information on Volcanoes.  We cut and pasted a foldable into our notebooks and will be studying different types of volcanoes in the next couple of days.  Please watch the video on the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and read over the "Mini Lesson" posted below.

Tuesday March 12

Today was our Plate Tectonics Test.  Below is our bellwork.  This is one of the short answer questions on the test!  Be sure to also have your map completed.  This map will be very useful on your test.  A picture of a completed map is posted below.

Monday March 11

Today we reviewed for our Plate Tectonics Test tomorrow.  Below is a link to a quizlet and a review (with answer key).  The bellwork is one of our short answer questions as well so pay attention to the question and answer!

Friday March 8

Today we went over the formative.  The answer key is posted below.  We will review the material on Plate Tectonics on Monday and will test on Tuesday.
