We are using part of the day for students to present their digestive system projects.  After presentations the students will work on a Digestive System and Excretory System Review worksheet.  Below is a labeled diagram to help the students correctly label the organs.  Students should also use previous blogs to find the functions of each organ.

Monday & Tuesday November 5-6

Students have been working on a Digestive System Project.  They are tasked with showing what happens to a piece of food as it moves through the digestive system.  Below is our bell work for today, a rubric for the project and a quizlet for our summative on Friday.  Our summative will be over the digestive and excretory systems.

Digestive System Project

Objective:  Pick a type of food and describe what happens to that food as it travels through each part of the digestive system.

Please follow the guidelines below to complete your project.

1.      Make an introduction slide with your name, period, and a title to your project.

2.     Create one informational slide for each part of the digestive system listed.  Please place the name of each part at the top of each slide.
Mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, pancreas and liver, large intestine and rectum.

3.     Each slide must have an appropriate image of the organ.

4.     Create a resource slide.  Please copy and paste the URL to websites used in your research.
 (This makes a total of 8 minimum slides.  Please have no more than 10)

5.     All information must be paraphrased.  Any plagiarism will result in a call home and a drop in your proficiency grade.

6.     Format should be in Google Slides.  You will submit the project through Google Classroom.

Students are beginning a project that follows a piece of food through the digestive system.  The project is due Wednesday November 7.  The guidelines for the projects are shown below.
