Dear Parents
It is a privilege to have your son/daughter in 7th grade science this year and I look forward to
getting to know him/her. Your child will receive some important handouts regarding our school calendar, student fees, discipline procedures and general school information that you will want to review.
As you peruse the information, please pay particular attention to the following
items that they will need for science class:
1. #2 pencils
2. Loose leaf paper
3. Composition or 1 subject spiral bound notebook (only used for science)
4. Folder or binder5. Science fee $5 (cash or check made to NJHS)
Simple tips for a successful year in Science class
Following Directions – Necessary in the classroom as well as the real world
Attention to Detail – Will help make you a better reader and learner
Critical Thinking – Helps you to make the tough decisions and appreciate diverse perspectives
Good Work Ethic – Helps promote character
Respect - Respect your teacher, your peers, and all classroom property. If you’re having a problem
with something or someone, I expect you to discuss it privately with me. I will always treat you fairly and with respect.
Please feel free to contact me at school via e-mail melissa.conder-count@evsck12.com throughout the
school year if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Melissa Conder-Counts
